So I wanted to try direct from photo referencing with an image. I tried but, I dunno, doing it directly didn't work for me, so I did alot with the face on my own and tweaked it alot.
Anyways, this took awhile. I might keep working on it though.

I dunno.. the tentacles? I be pretty horrified if that was popping out from under my skirt.

excellent! glad to see that you're taking your work in a somewhat new direction. it still screams your great style tho. ^_^

my only crit is that the composition seem to be a bit off. i'd like to see a tighter crop her left side and more extended background on the right. it's her body language, kinda points me in that direction. *shurgs*

The beautiful woman - with the tentacles - reminds me of a laurell K Hamilton character. its is a pretty picture - i like the almost monochromatic feel of it - but i will say that the full view is so large (and it might just be an issue since i have my stuff set to start will full view) but i couldnt see the tentacles at first - but i love this picture. you should do more like this - beautiful portraits with a touch of the macabre.

I really like this piece of work. But, as I think I said before on a piece where you asked for criticism - your pieces are always so dark! A little contrast could make things more radical and attractive, because after a while they begin to look a little dull.
